Owner Emma Taylor is a lifelong ice cream lover who began her career as art director at Condé Nast. Her true calling, though, was in the food industry.
Taylor began her career as a pastry chef in 2009 at Gramercy Travern, but ultimately opened Milk Sugar Love in 2013.
Her vision was an ice cream parlor like the ones she grew up with down at the Jersey Shore. The storefront opened on McWilliams place in 2013, and then came the ice cream truck in 2016.
Located at 394 Palisade Avenue, the ice creamery's third establishment creates new flavors every week for cones, cookie sandwiches or pints to-go.
The most popular flavors include honey pretzel, maple bacon toffee, blueberry crumb, Thai tea, fruity pebble, snickerdoodle and more.
